Dan Pletscher Scholarship for Avian Science

The Fund will provide scholarships to University of Montana undergraduate or graduate students in the Wildlife Biology Program according to the following guidelines:
1. Recipient selection: 
• Undergraduate recipient criteria: Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Wildlife Biology or Biology with the Ecology and Organismal Biology option.
• Graduate recipient criteria: Must be pursuing an M.S. in Wildlife Biology or Ph.D. in Fish and Wildlife Biology.
Preference shall be given to students who are enrolled members of an American Indian Tribe in good academic standing.
2. Responsibility for selection: Awarding the Dan Pletscher Scholarship for Avian Science shall be the responsibility of the scholarship selection committee authorized to award scholarships to students in the Wildlife Biology Program. The committee shall determine the recipient. One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded each year.
