Danny On Memorial Fund
The purpose of the Danny On Memorial Fund is to recognize an outstanding senior or graduate student enrolled in the University of Montana’s College of Forestry and Conservation. The recipient must be majoring in ecology, silviculture or wildlife management and have maintained a 3.0 grade point average after 90 semester credits. He or she must have demonstrated ability and willingness to extend scientific knowledge to the public and to allied professionals. He or she must have demonstrated skill and involvement in wildlife, technical forestry, and scenic photography on a skilled amateur level and an interest in using that skill to further the enjoyment and education of others through photography. In addition, the recipient should display many of the characteristics that earned Danny deep respect among his colleagues and friends. These are as follows: objective, pragmatic, utilitarian, with commitment to biologically sound forest land management practices; enjoyment of the land in all its forms and uses, and dedication to the Society of American Foresters and its beneficial uses.
