Bonnie Hamilton MSW Scholarship
To provide annual scholarships for graduate students in the Master’s of Social Work (MSW) Program at The University of Montana who are Native American. The students should demonstrate energy and ambition and plan to work for the good of Native Americans on the reservation after his/her formal schooling is completed. The scholarship can be renewed provided the students are making good academic progress, as determined by the chair of the School of Social Work, and reapply for this stipend. The recipients each year shall be determined by the chair and faculty representatives of the School of Social Work.
If there are no qualified Native American students, the scholarship may be given to otherwise qualified students who plan to work for the good of Native Americans on a reservation after his/her formal schooling is completed. The donor requests an opportunity to meet the recipients each year. Any publicity about this scholarship should exclude the donor’s name, but approval is granted to use the donor’s name in donor lists.
