Dean L. and Virginia Young Vinal Music Endowed Scholarship

The Fund will provide scholarships to University of Montana graduate or undergraduate students in the School of Music according to the following guidelines: An eligible student must be majoring in: 1) music with an emphasis in brass or strings; or 2) music education. He or she will be awarded the scholarship based on worthiness as determined by the scholarship selection committee.
Responsibility for selection: Awarding the Dean L. and Virginia Young Vinal Music Endowed Scholarship shall be the responsibility of the scholarship selection committee appointed by the director of the School of Music. The committee shall determine the amounts of the scholarship awards and the recipients.* However, one meaningful award rather than several smaller awards is preferred.*
