Kenneth Andrew McBroom Memorial Scholarship

1. The recipient is to be a music major who will be a junior or senior during the year the scholarship is provided. Recipients who are juniors will also be eligible for consideration their senior year.

2. The award will be based on creative talent demonstrated through music composition or voice although not limited to students pursuing degrees in these specialties.

3. Special consideration will be given to a student who is an accomplished guitarist.

4. The student will have a cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.0.

5. The Foundation will notify Dr. and Mrs. William H. McBroom of the name of the recipient and the amount of the award each year an award is made.

6. The McBroom family reserves the right to review and revise the scholarship criteria through the lifetime of Kenneth Andrew McBroom’s surviving brothers, William Sean McBroom and Douglas Grenier McBroom. Reasonable notice of any proposed revision will be necessary for implementation during the following academic year. April 1 will constitute reasonable notice.
