Missoula Symphony Association Scholarships

The Fund will provide the following scholarships annually to University of Montana graduate and undergraduate students in the School of Music according to the following guidelines:

1. Florence Reynolds Scholarship: One award of $1,500 given annually to a music major with exceptional talent on a string instrument who is a regular member of the Missoula Symphony Orchestra.

2. Past Presidents’ Scholarship: One award of $1,500 given annually to music majors who are regular members of the Missoula Symphony Orchestra. Selection of recipients will be by recommendation from applied areas of the UM Music faculty. These awards should be normally given to the recipients for a two-year period.

3. The Joseph Henry Scholarship and the Donald Carey Scholarship: Two awards of $750 each are to be given annually to students who are regular members of the Missoula Symphony Orchestra or Chorale.

4. Virginia Vinal Scholarship: One award of $1,500 to a music major who is a regular member of the Missoula Symphony Orchestra.
