Jean Kountz and Hal G. Stearns Scholarship

The Jean Kountz and Hal G. Stearns Scholarship Fund provides an annual award to undergraduate or graduate journalism students at UM who demonstrate professional potential and academic ability. Recipients should reflect the personal qualities of Jean Kountz Stearns, specifically warm-heartedness, compassion, sensitivity, willingness to listen and balanced judgment of people.
