Joseph and Sandra Payne Scholarship in Music

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for deserving students who are studying percussion or brass, but the students are not required to be majoring in either one. Just as Joe majored in another discipline, they could do the same.

The minimum award is to be $1,000. Should the fund grow so that it is possible to award two or more students a minimum of $1,000 each, the School of Music, in its discretion, shall decide whether or not to award the entire amount to one student or to split the award between multiple recipients with the stipulation that no recipient shall receive less than $1,000.
