Neil Bucklew Presidential Service Award

The purpose of the Neil Bucklew Presidential Service Award is to recognize the contributions of President Neil Bucklew to The University of Montana, to Missoula, and to the State of Montana. A Montanan will be selected each year for this award based on his or her efforts to foster an understanding throughout the community and state of the University’s needs and strengths, and vice versa. The award recipient will receive a plaque, and another plaque bearing the recipient’s name will be displayed in a prominent place in the UM Foundation. The recipient will have the opportunity to direct the earnings for one year from the endowed funds to a school or department of his or her choice. That department or school will then select a student to receive a one-year scholarship. The Bucklew Award will go to a different recipient each year, and will be bestowed during Charter Day festivities.
