Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award

The Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award shall be given to an outstanding music major at or near the end of the student’s junior year, and the stipend is to be paid at the beginning of the senior year. The student is to be designated a Presser Scholar." The award is intended to be one prestigious scholarship given based on excellence without regard to race or sex. Announcement of the selection of the “Presser Scholar” is requested to be made publicly in appropriate ways. The student selected should be identified by the music faculty and the
decision communicated by the chair of the School of Music to the Presser Foundation with a brief statement
about the student.
