Reg and Ishbel Wilson Scholarship
The Fund will provide scholarships to University of Montana undergraduate students in the Department of Political Science according to the following guidelines: Juniors or seniors in good standing who are majoring in political science. Preference will be given to students with a record of community engagement/service with advocacy organizations. Students from rural Montana, non-traditional students and those who are residents of other countries are encouraged to apply. Awards may include support for students participating in faculty approved experiential learning programs or study abroad programs and/or participation in the PADC (Project for American Democracy and Citizenship) program. Applicants must submit an essay describing their intent for the award and their long-term plans for their political science degree, along with a resume, and a faculty letter of reference.

- Please submit a short essay describing 1) your "intent for the award and your long-term plans for your political science degree"; 2) your "record of community engagement & service with advocacy organizations," 3) whether you are from rural Montana, are a non-traditional student (started college more than three years after finishing high school), or are a resident of another country, and 4) whether you are participating in the following programs: faculty approved experiential learning programs (such as an internship), study abroad programs, or the PADC (Project for American Democracy and Citizenship) program.
- A letter recommending you for the Reg and Ishbel Wilson Scholarship must be submitted by a Political Science Department faculty member to the Political Science Scholarship Committee. After the faculty member has agreed to write you a recommendation, list their name and email address here.
