Staff Senate Scholarship
The Fund will provide scholarships to selected children of classified staff at The University of Montana. They may be incoming first-year students, continuing education students, graduate students and transfer students enrolled at The University of Montana according to the following guidelines: Applicants must be enrolled at UM – either the Mountain Campus, the Bitterroot Campus, or the Missoula College, as a full-time student (at least 12 credits) in the upcoming academic school year. Previous recipients are eligible to apply. Awards are based the student’s academic record, campus, high school or community involvement and financial need, and letters of reference. To be considered for a scholarship the applicant must complete and submit the official application form, a one-page biographical statement, two letters of recommendation, transcripts, and a Financial Aid Need Analysis for Scholarship.

- Annually the scholarship committee shall award one or more scholarships to dependents of University of Montana Staff members. A dependent is a child, grandchild, spouse, or adult dependent, as currently defined by Human Resource Services. A University of Montana staff member is defined as a permanent staff member who is not a contract administrator, contract professional, individual on a Letter of Appointment, or faculty. The committee selects scholarship recipients from qualified applications based on campus and/or community involvement and academic achievements. The awarded funds shall be used by a full-time (12 credits +) student at the University of Montana, which includes Mountain Campus, Missoula College, or Bitterroot College.
