Townsend Science and Philosophy Award

The Fund will provide scholarships to University of Montana undergraduate students in the Department of Philosophy according to the following guidelines: To be awarded annually by the Department of Philosophy to a student who best exemplifies the joining of philosophy and the sciences, understood to include mathematics and the social sciences. The student’s major shall not be a relevant factor: any student may qualify who has demonstrated through interest and coursework in philosophy and the sciences a dedication to the intersections of these subjects that merits the award.
