Joseph W. Turon Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of the Joseph W. Turon Memorial Scholarship is to benefit a woodwind student majoring in music whose major instrument is bassoon, oboe or saxophone at The University of Montana. The student must display academic excellence and a commitment to the study of his or her instrument. The scholarship is renewable for four years provided the student continues to major in music and maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. A scholarship selection committee appointed by the director of the School of Music, in consultation with the department’s woodwind faculty, shall determine the recipient.
