Carolyn and Johnny Lott Elementary Education Scholarship

The Fund will provide scholarships to University of Montana undergraduate students who are prospective elementary or middle school teachers according to the following guidelines: Students who have been admitted to the Teacher Education Program in the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education and Human Sciences who are prospective elementary or middle school teachers.

Applicants must have:
a) successfully completed the two courses in the Math for Elementary Teachers sequence with a grade of B or higher;
b) a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher;
c) a letter of recommendation from a mathematics educator and;
d) a letter of application sharing an essay on an interesting short math problem as selected by the committee.
