John S. O'Dell Scholarship

The John S. O’Dell Scholarship provides an annual award to a student majoring in the biological sciences at The University of Montana, including zoology, botany, and microbiology. The student must be a full-time student either undergraduate or graduate and have demonstrated academic achievement, good leadership qualities and involvement in extra-curricular activities. Financial need may be considered as a tie-breaker. The scholarship may be renewed annually based on the recipients progress.

  2. DBS Letter of Recommendation (encouraged, not required)
    • A letter of recommendation from a faculty member (preferably a DBS faculty member) is encouraged but not required. Have your letter writer upload their letter into the portal, or have them email it to biology.advisor@mso.umt.edu. If you have a letter writer, let us know their name here.
