ASUM Research and Creative Scholarship
The Research and Creative Scholarship Fund (RCSF) was established to fund student research, creative works, or travel to present/conduct such works. This fund is made available by ASUM (The Associate Students of the University of Montana), the Office of Research and Creative Scholarship, and the Office of the Provost. Students must be enrolled in at least 7 credits and be in good academic standing to apply for funding.
Proposals for Winter/Spring will open on October 15 and close on Nov 27, 2019. The project date must occur between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2020.
All interested students will need to visit the ASUM website for materials required for submission: www.umt.edu/asum/
Funding requests for projects will be available to undergraduate and graduate students for the purpose of:
1. Conducting a Research project related to any field
2. Producing an academic creative work. Must be related to an academic department on the UM Campus
3. Travel to: present a research/creative project, volunteer/intern, or participate in professional development
COMPLETED APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED BY A COMMITTEE COMPOSED OF TWELVE VOTING MEMBER, INCLUDING GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT VOLUNTEERS.

- Research and Creative Scholarship Fund Application Consent: I certify by signing below that I am in good academic standing (GPA is above 2.0) and have no outstanding debts or holds at this time on my student account. I understand that if I am funded by the committee, I will have to report on the status of my trip or project to my faculty advisor, who will be responsible for providing an update to the committee by January 5, 2019. This update should include the status of the project (complete, in progress, or discontinued) and any necessary documentation that would provide evidence that the trip or project is underway (such as receipts or confirmation pages).
