Louise Greene/Elizabeth Smith Undergraduate Scholarship in Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies
The University of Montana Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies Program announces an undergraduate scholarship for excellence in activism (Autumn) or academics (Spring) and invites qualified students to apply.
Criteria:
1. Open to WGSS undergraduate students with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
2. Applicants must achieve junior status by autumn semester. Transfer students must be in their second semester at the University of Montana.
3. Recipient must be enrolled and attending the University at the time when receiving the scholarship.
4. Applicant must be a Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies major or minor. It is possible to apply for either the major or minor concurrently with the application.

- Please upload a letter of application indicating for which scholarship you are applying for (Activism), including a 300 - 350 word essay (word format or PDF) discussing your community and University activities related to Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies, and a brief statement of your projected career goals.
- To be eligible for the WGSS undergraduate Scholarship, two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a WGSS affiliated faculty are required. Please provide the name and email address of a WGSS affiliated faculty member who has agreed in advance to provide a letter of recommendation on your behalf.
- To be eligible for the WGSS Graduate Scholarship, two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a WGSS affiliated faculty are required. Please provide the name and email address of a second faculty member who has agreed in advance to provide a letter of recommendation on your behalf.
